What to do at the roadside

The insurance problem

Most travel policies require a licence valid for the machine you were riding and a helmet worn. Without both, motorbike cover is generally void.

An international driving permit with the correct motorcycle category is what they actually check, and a car licence does not cover a scooter above a certain size.
